Description
A Ford battery is a rechargeable battery that supplies electrical energy to your auto.It is also known as an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its chief goal will be to start the Ford engine.
Once the engine is operating, the alternator supplies power for the car.
Generally, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are designed to discharge a high burst of current, measured in amperes, and then be quickly recharged.
They are not designed for deep discharge, along with the lifespan of the Ford battery can be reduced by a full discharge.
