A Subaru battery is a rechargeable battery that provides electrical energy to your auto.It is also called an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its principal goal is to start the Subaru engine.
Once the engine is running, the alternator supplies power for the auto.
Usually, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are designed to discharge a high outburst of current, measured in amperes, and then be immediately recharged.
They are not designed for deep discharge, plus the lifespan of the Subaru battery can be reduced by a complete discharge.
