A Hyundai battery is a rechargeable battery that supplies electrical energy to your auto.It’s also called an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its principal purpose will be to start the Hyundai engine.
The alternator supplies electricity for the auto, once the engine is operating.
Usually, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are designed to discharge a high burst of current, measured in amperes, and then be immediately recharged.
They are not designed for deep discharge, and the battery’s lifespan can be reduced by a complete discharge.
