Description
A Ford battery is a rechargeable battery that supplies electrical energy to your auto.It is also called an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its primary objective will be to start the Ford engine.
Once the Ford engine is operating, electricity for the car is supplied by the alternator.
Usually, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are made to discharge a high outburst of current, measured in amperes, and then be quickly recharged.
They’re not designed for deep discharge, plus the lifespan of the Ford battery can be reduced by a total discharge.
