A Dodge battery is a rechargeable battery that supplies electrical energy to your automobile.It is also known as an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its chief goal will be to start the Dodge engine.
Once the Dodge engine is running, electricity for the auto is provided by the alternator.
Generally, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are made to release a high burst of current, measured in amperes, and then be immediately recharged.
They’re not designed for deep discharge, as well as a full discharge can decrease the battery’s lifespan.
