Description
A Ford battery is a rechargeable battery that provides electrical energy to your auto.It is also called an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its principal objective is to start the Ford engine.
Power for the auto is provided by the alternator once the engine is operating.
Generally, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are made to release a high burst of current, measured in amperes, and then be immediately recharged.
They are not designed for deep discharge, and also the battery’s lifespan can be reduced by a full discharge.
