A Dodge battery is a rechargeable battery that provides electrical energy to your auto.It’s also known as an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its principal purpose would be to start the Dodge engine.
Power for the auto is supplied by the alternator once the engine is running.
Usually, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are designed to discharge a high burst of current, measured in amperes, and then be immediately recharged.
They are not designed for deep discharge, and also the battery’s lifespan can be reduced by a complete discharge.
