A Mercedes battery is a rechargeable battery that supplies electrical energy to your auto.It is also known as an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its chief goal would be to start the Mercedes engine.
Electricity for the car is provided by the alternator once the engine is running.
Generally, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are designed to release a high burst of current, measured in amperes, and then be quickly recharged.
They are not designed for deep discharge, and the battery’s lifespan can be reduced by a complete discharge.
